In this article, I will tell you how your company manufactures LED facade products. Let’s take a look at the example of a two-sided architectural luminaire HH-705 of our own production.
In our lamps, there are no lamps, in the usual sense. Instead, LED modules are installed. So let’s start by preparing the LED module.
How is an LED façade luminaire assembled
LEDs. In order for our LED luminaires to shine for a long time and delight the eyes of our customers and everyone around us, we choose LEDs of the Emitter LED type, which has proven themselves on the good side. From the client’s request, we select a different color temperature from 2800K (warm light, like from an incandescent lamp, 4000K (daylight, like from fluorescent lamps), 6500K (cold light, like from a xenon lamp) to colored.
Pay. We solder LEDs to an aluminum board. LED boards to come in various sizes and for different LEDs.
Thermal paste. We apply thermal paste to the places for the diodes. To dissipate heat from the LED to the aluminum board.
Soldering. We place the LEDs in their places and solder them. ATTENTION!
Observe polarity! Yes, LEDs have polarity, if connected incorrectly, the diodes may burn out.
Quality control. Quality control is very important at this stage. The functionality of the board is checked and the quality of the LED soldering is visually inspected. Visual inspection is very important because when power is applied to the board, the LEDs can work, but with prolonged use, this board with diodes will fail. Since when heated, the “foot” of the LED can move away from the board and from the conductor.
Lenses. Now let’s move on to one more important stage – the installation of secondary optics. Since clients are different, our approach to business is flexible. With the help of a lens that is installed on the LED, you can adjust the opening angle of the luminaire itself. We install the secondary optics on a sealant so that the lenses do not “bounce” and moisture does not get on the diodes themselves.
Thus, we have manufactured an LED board with LEDs and a lens (LED module). We need two such modules for this lamp.
